Summer is great, and spring is cheerful, but many people would take the cool, misty fall days over any other season. There’s a certain electric quality in the autumn air that jolts and excites the senses. There are many fine products that are made during the fall season. It seems gift baskets as gifts is growing in popularity, both in the personal and corporate sector.  Did you ever stop to wonder how those baskets are made?

While basket weaving is one of the widest spread craft in the history of any human civilization it is hard to see just how old the craft is because natural materials like wood, grass, and animal remains decay naturally and constantly.  So without proper preservation much of the history of basket making has been lost but the oldest known baskets have been carbon bated between 10,000 and 12,000 years ago.
